Adding Guitar Fingerings Printing a Song

Setting the Song Flow

Often songs repeat the chorus or a verse. However, entering them more then once into the document is extra work and a source for error (updates may not make it into all copies).

Song-Bank provides a way of outputting the song with repeated sections using uniquely named section breaks. The first step is to insert the desired section breaks. Then use the Section Order Dialog to control the song flow.

All output (print and file export) will then use this song flow.

Setting the Song Flow

1)   Insert the desired section breaks using the Control | Insert a Section Break... menu command. The Control Dialog will be displayed to allow you to specify a unique name. Press the button to accept the input and insert the break. Inserting a section break in the middle of a text section will cause the section to be split onto two lines, separated by the section break.

2)   Once the section breaks have been created, use the Song | Song Flow (Section Break Order)... menu command to display the Section Order Dialog.

3)   Move sections from the left hand list (available sections) to the right hand list (output sections) by double-clicking on the line.

4)   When the output section list is complete, press to accept the song flow.
