Copy & Paste Chords from Text with Chords
If you have the chords in one section of a song and need to copy them to another, inserting the chords into the current text, the is a new feature in Song-Bank to provide this function. The Copy Chords from Lines and Insert Chords into Lines menu commands provide this functionality.
To copy the chords from lines of text with chords:
1) Highlight a portion of each of the lines you wish to copy.
2) Select the Edit | Copy Chords from Lines menu command.
Note: The command will take all of the chords from each of the lines, even if only a portion is highlighted.
Note: Please make sure you do not include the section break lines when you use this command as they will be stored as blank lines.
To insert the stored chords into lines of text (with or without chords):
1) Place the cursor anywhere on the first line of the section you wish to paste the chords into.
2) Select the Insert Chords into Lines menu command to insert the the chord lines stored in the clipboard to the destination. Any chords stored in the destination are removed and the chords from the clipboard are inserted.
Note: Inserting chords into lines will remove all controls and chords from the destination.
Note: The destination is defined as the starting line of the selection or the line at the cursor position and continues for the same number of lines as there are chord lines stored in the clipboard.
